PERMISSION POST {contains MASSIVE spoilers for Folklore}

So, Keats is your average occult journalist for a third-rung magazine who actually doesn't really believe in the occult or supernatural himself. How ironic is that?
...What if I told you that Keats is a supernatural being himself, though?
Yes, Keats is what they call a Half-Life in the Folklore universe. He was created through the wish of a child to serve a purpose, so basically, he's like a glorified imaginary friend. Half-Lives can't be seen by all people, though! Although all children can see him without trouble (I'll say up to thirteen years old), some adults might not be able to see Keats at all if they don't believe in magic or the supernatural. This was demonstrated in game by a quest that Keats could do for such a person- they couldn't see him at first, but once he started doing things for them, they started believing in him and therefore they could see and talk to him as if he was a regular human being.
Keats has no idea what he is, though. Part of the fun from taking him from his current canon point is him eventually figuring out that he's not exactly human!
Anyways, just answer me a few questions so I can know whether or not Keats will just be a figment of imagination for your character or not.
1. Does your character believe in magic/occult/the supernatural/what have you?
Yes or no.
2. If not, how extreme do you want to go with the "Keats doesn't exist" thing?
It depends on your character's openness to magic! I mean, if they're really adamant about it not existing, they might not see him or even hear him, even if he contacts your character personally. If they're a little open to it, Keats could do things like leave voice messages and they'd be able to listen to it, even if they could never see him if they meet face to face.
Also, this means that any post that Keats makes on the network would only be seen by those who believe in magic- to anyone else, it would probably just be like static or something, I don't know.
I'll be creating a list of the people who can and can't see him and updating accordingly as time goes on/things change! If you want to make your characters start believing and therefore start seeing Keats, don't hesitate to comment or send me a PM and we can work things out. B)b
